I am proposing an installation with a total of (up to) 6 praxinoscopes. The praxinoscopes can be displayed in both a dark and a bright space, either on pedestals or attached to the wall. They are each 14 cm x 16 cm x 15 cm in size.
1. Facial development: As observed in human and bat embryos (2 praxinoscopes): They are each starting with the drawing of the stage where the human embryo´s face is the same as many other animal species (bats, fish, pigs, etc.), ending with an image of relative recognizably.
2. Glacial movement (2 praxinoscopes): Taking the point of view as if standing in today´s Munich, facing the Alps in the direction of Zugspitze, one can observe the come and go of the Loisach glacier. Summarized in 10 images (less than 1 second in cinematic time), we see a time span of 25.000 years.
4. Inferno: Another archaic movement, this time taking place not in flight nor liquid, but in flames. A man is jumping through a fire, and the next fire, and the next one, trapped eternally in this archaic ritual.
